Interior Map Optimized is an optimized custom shader, that simulates the interior of buildings at a low cost.
The simulated interior is actually just an image projected on the surface of the building object. The effect is achieved through layering cubemap textures. This means performance cost is dramatically reduced, compared to using a transparent shader and filling the building with actual models.
Ideal for situations where viewing of interiors is desired, but player interaction is not required.
Shader supports reflections, transparency and bump maps.
Corner rooms have windows on both appropriate sides. The viewer can peer through the room, to the other side of the building.
Set light and dark rooms, and choose the chance of each appearing.
Additional shader features include:
• Ability to set 2 different cubemaps, and set likelihood of each appearing.
• Set seed values to randomly place rooms and objects for a more varied look.
• Set specular color, metallicity, and smoothness.
• Set the depth of interior objects for a more realistic effect.
