Kitware provides this asset to enable a quick integration of the Pulse Physiology Engine in Unity. The Pulse Physiology Engine is an open source library for accurate, consistent, dynamic simulation of the whole-body response to injury, disease, and treatment.
Pulse has been paired with a wide variety of medical training platforms to improve virtual patient responses and interactions. In addition to the Pulse library integration, we include examples of generating physiologic patient data, rendering the patient data, and a complete vital sign monitor, all of them created with reusable Unity components.
Pulse engine outputs currently demonstrated in example scenes:
ECG Signal
Heart Rate
Arterial Blood Pressure Waveform
Mean Arterial Blood Pressure
Systolic Blood Pressure
Diastolic Blood Pressure
Oxygen Saturation
End-Tidal Carbon Dioxide
Respiration Rate
Temperature
Capnogram
Blood Volume
Pulse engine actions currently demonstrated in example scenes:
Airway Obstruction
Intubation
Tension Pneumothorax
Needle Decompression
Drug Injection (Bolus)
Intravenous Infusion
Hemorrhage
Configuration of Anesthesia Machine
