Cerebrum Background Simulation System - The indie developer's solution to dynamic worlds and factions.
(Forum)
Cerebrum
Cerebrum was built with the purpose to let players make dynamic worlds and factions all at the click of a button. Cerebrum is so flexible, it can be used to make systems for reputation, factions, progress, experience, quest/dialogue paths, unlocks, and even nemesis systems.
Why Cerebrum?
Cerebrum was built with simplicity, but flexibility in mind. Cerebrum at its core is a value based simulation, storing a value and changing that value based on events while actors respond to changes in that value. This simplicity is the beauty of Cerebrum and with a robust extension system, a simple value based simulation can result in massive changes to a massive open world.
Many dynamic systems end up incomplete or cancelled simply because of how complicated it can be to make one. Cerebrum handles all of the management so all you have to do is determine what you want to happen in the simulation.
Extensibility
Cerebrum can eb modified to your needs easily
* A powerful Extension System making it easy to make your personalised extension for your simulation.
* Scriptable Objects storing simulation data.
* Detailed documentation of the entire framework and hooks.
* 100% of the source code is included, making it easy to tweak the inner workings of Cerebrum.
We are proud to release a framework like this within the indie community's reach to make great things and great games. We want to start seeing what would otherwise be AAA mechanics and features in indie games and Cerebrum is hopefully one step forward towards bringing dynamic content into the indie scene.
If you aren't satisfied with Cerebrum, we offer a 100% money back guarantee. No questions asked!
