About
Have you ever needed to:
● Cheat to add currency to test a feature?
● Inspect the GameObject hierarchy on device?
● Disable and enable GameObjects on device?
● Visualize a timeline of events occuring in your game?
● Visualize how long loading operations and web requests take in your game?
● Visualize frame stalls?
● See all the assets in memory on device?
● View, download or delete a file from your persistent data?
● Quickly grab a screenshot?
Webster allows you to do all of those things!
Most debug and cheat interfaces are embedded and viewed directly in your game. This might be okay in the editor or standalone game but what about on a phone or console? Your debug tools shouldn't have the same complexity and UX concerns your game does.
Webster creates a website served from your game that can be accessed from any web browser on your network. Now you can have the convenience of a desktop environment for debugging and cheating on any platform!
No IDE or Editor is required to use Webster at runtime. This allows artists, designers, QA, or anyone else on your team to use debug and cheat features in a build without having Unity.
Webster is intended to be extended. You can easily add your own custom commands and web pages.
Supported Platforms
Most platforms will work but only Editor, Standalone, iOS and Android have been tested. WebGL is not supported.
