Experience immersive VR interaction like never before with our Physics-Based UI Toolkit! Say goodbye to traditional raycasts and controller buttons – now you can directly interact with UI elements using your hands. Unlock a new level of immersion as you physically press buttons, opening doors to endless possibilities, gameplay mechanics, and intuitive UI navigation across various genres of VR experiences.
The VR Physics Based UI Toolkit was conceived with the aim of providing a simple and rapid method for combining UI elements. Its focus diverged from the prevalent use of raycasting in many VR frameworks, instead prioritizing interactive experiences with feedback.
At the core of this toolkit lies the Physics Based Button, serving as the foundation for most other components. What distinguishes the Physics Based Button is its provision of not just visual feedback but also a tactile sensation, akin to the feeling of interacting with a physical button. While triggers are employed for slide interactions, they adhere to a principle reminiscent of mobile device controls. For instance, sliding a control to the right or left is achieved by touching the surface with a finger. Similarly, all swipe modules emulate mobile control schemes, aiming to offer new users an intuitive and familiar experience.
Currently, the toolkit comprises 20+ components that are combinable. This documentation aims to assist you in effectively utilizing the toolkit and provide insights to maximize its potential.
