OVERVIEW
This module allows you to download real world data such as digital elevation and satellite imagery of a region of your choice and process, and make use of that data in your terrain creation workflow.
Data will be downloaded from a variety of sources such as US Geological Survey (USGS), Open Topography, and other tile based sources.
Note: Each data provider has their Term of Service and Policies, make sure you have a good read at them before using the data. Some data are free for commercial use but some are not.
KEY FEATURES
- Data Provider Assets: Handle data downloading & preprocessing.
- Map View Window: Visually select your area of interest using a world map.
- Local Biome Workflow: Allow using downloaded data with local procedural biomes.
- Real World Biome Workflow: A new biome type that let you download data on-the-go, per-tile, to cover a large area in the scene without having to deal with a huge chunk of data.
- New Nodes: Load Real World Data, Real World Height Remap, HSL Selector, Draw Mask Overlay, etc.
- Custom Reprojection: Providing script callbacks for you to perform data reprojection to the desired spatial reference.
