A solution for the "white edges"-issue often encountered with vegetation and the like.
It extends the color of the edge-pixels over the tranpsarant pixels of the texture, also called color dilation, which fixes that issue.
It works as an AssetPostprocessor, meaning your source textures remain unchanged (the change to the textures remains within Unity), and it automatically updates these textures when modified.

All you need to do is place the textures in a folder named "extend", and it will always be correct.

Settings can be altered by adding additional suffixes to the folder name, or by placing these textures in additional subfolders (with the correct relevant name), as explained in the documentation.
This package also contains a set of examples.

In essence it's similar to the new "Alpha is Transparency" option in the Texture Import Settings, but with more options and full source code available.
If you don't need these extra options or the source code however, I would recommend you to just use this built-in Unity setting instead.
