The Simple Camera Toolkit includes various camera modules to assist in composition, tracking, and user controlled cameras.
We put together this set of scripts to assist developers with an issue we all face, setting up a camera for a specific use case.
Whether you need an automated camera which flies through your world, a tracking camera which smoothly follows a target, or a city builder camera with rotation support, we have you covered!
All modules are provided in C# with example scenes making them easy to scale further if you need a more customized solution for your project.
Our useful Composition Tools allow you to frame your scene using tried and tested cinematic guides.
Focus on your game/project and leave the camera systems in our hands, we are sure to have something for you!
Take a look at what's included below
Auto Frame Tracker
This module will automatically move the camera to try and fit all your targets into the frame, you can set the desired position on screen and let the camera do the rest
Auto Orbit
Pan around a target at a predefined speed! A great tool for loading screens which pan around iconic in game items!
Fly Camera
A super simple mouse look and "WASD" style fly camera, which can be used to allow users to "free cam" their way through a scene using mouse and keyboard.
Follow Target
Smoothly track a target by following it and dampening movements for smooth transitions, great for tracking vehicles or players!
FOV Controller
Change your camera field of view using a trigger, this allows a user to right-click, or left click, to change their field of view on the fly. You can also toggle/hold the FOV when the trigger happens.
Look at Tracking
A module which will smoothly track a target object, without moving the camera object within the game world.
Mouse Look
A simple module to allow users to look around the scene with their mouse as an input. This can be combined with other modules to control movements.
Waypoint Follow
Set up a route within your scene and watch this camera move between between each point. Multiple modes are available (Forward, PingPong, Loop), and you can adjust what the camera looks at, and the speed it moves at!
Mouse Orbit
Allow you players to pan around an object with their mouse, bind the trigger event (Right/Left Click or Always on). Defined limits to horizontal and vertical movements.
Wobble Camera
A simple screen wobble effect which can be applied to a camera, you control the speed of the effect.
Composition Tools
A tool for composing your in game scenes using action/title safe regions, and grid lines, to frame truly cinematic scenes
