This package contains 10 high quality WAV files of seamless music loops with a tasteful retro style. This pack is geared toward action titles and can work in any titles that offer excitement, adventure, combat, high-stakes, etc. Each track is relatively short and jam packed with catchy riffs like the good old days of video game music- the philosophy being 'less is more'. You won't want to take them off repeat and neither will your players.
Track descriptions:
1) Impetus: Track number one for a reason- it is the best show case of the style, musicianship and quality you can expect from the rest of the pack. It loops back and forth between a 12/8 groove that ramps up the excitement and a 4/4 banger that ties right back to the beginning groove.
2) Running Roughshod: Do you like blast beats? Good. This song is a frenzied melding of synthesizers with a driving beat that refuses to sit still. This is the song the Pac-Man ghosts hear when they run for their lives.
3) I Call Hacks: Taking inspiration directly from Metallica, I've channeled that energy into a track that would feel right at home in an early DOOM title. This one has a cheeky little key change that divides the track in half right after a thrash metal solo so it's like you're getting two songs in one!
4) Don't Know Yet: The title of this one reveals perhaps the most experimental track of the pack. This song is heavily inspired by the latin jazz all-time classic, Caravan. I'm a drummer first and foremost and this track is very self-indulgent in that regard. Hopefully you find this song to be 'your tempo'.
5) Unit Absolutus: Forgive my psuedo-latin; I digress. The repetitive melody in this track subtly draws you in while your brain is melted by the dynamically evolving effects placed upon the sythesizer. Close your eyes and picture a liquid kaleidoscope.
6) Switch to Sidearm: It's faster than reloading! This nu-metal groove will have you dropping mags and slingin' frags like it's 2009 again. Stay frosty, we're oscar mike.
7) Trunk Full of Guns: This song paints a picture- A tranquil ride along the coast at sunset is interrupted only by the knowledge that you have a small armory of firearms in your trunk but that just makes you feel even cooler about yourself. So ease that seat back, leave one hand on the wheel and put those sunglasses on. In all seriousness, this song would make for good menu music.
8) Veins of Sludge: Ever heard of stoner metal? Doomer metal? Now you can say that you have. I tried to capture that genre in the slowest BPM track of the entire pack. May sludge run through your veins and sewage pump through your arteries, my friend.
9) Fatal Funnel: A touch more atmospheric than its fellow tracks, the intent is induce a sense of unease and danger while still staying groovy. The player will not feel safe with this in the background. The trap beat feels drunk and the synths intentionally oppose one another.
10) Supsensive: Certainly the most atmospheric track. The only track without drums. It's perfect for any surprise horror sections. It also works to build tension just before a major turning point or narrative reveal.
