Get a cleaner layout

Opening the project window with a simple shortcut gives you a more flexible layout and provides more space for other important windows, such as a larger scene or game view.

Useful in general, and especially nice on laptops where screen space is already limited.

Works everywhere

The project window can always be shown no matter which editor window has focus.

Easy to use and customize

Use the default keyboard shortcut (Control + Spacebar), or setup your own shortcut.

Change position offsets, size and other settings to suit your preferences.

It's done through the Preferences window and Unity's Shortcut Manager.

Lightweight & documented

Don't worry about bloat; the package only has a couple files taking up a very little amount of space. You won't even notice it!

It's also neatly placed inside the Plugins folder so you don't get any unwanted folders in your root folder.

Is this asset for me?

If you come from Unreal Engine 5 or would just simply enjoy a popup project window as a feature, then this asset should fit right into your workflow.

Having the project window out of the way frees up space and makes your workflow more seamless.

Limitations

• The shortcut is not registered when the game view is focused during play-mode. The reason is because the game view is taking over input, ignoring the shortcut. You can however still click anywhere else than the game view while in play-mode, and the shortcut will work again as expected.
• The project window is exclusively in two-column layout, and does not support the one-column layout.
