ProtoGrid is a Shader that contain some essential features that give you fully control and customize your grids and meet your needs without having to make UV’s, from prototyping to large scale Level Design Blockout. It is also a set of texture resources to quickly create varied and unique Grids. Its of course compatible with additional tools like ProBuilder.
- CONTROL & FLEXIBILITY
🌎 World or Object Grid Position 🌎
On the same material you can, with one click, switch between Object and World grid in order to align all your objects on the same grid or to allow some objects to have their own grid (for a cover for example).
In both mode you can change the scale of your object, the size of your Grid will never change and your Grid will never be streched or compressed.
You always have full control on it.
🧱 Ground and Wall distinction 🧱
Thanks to the Triplanar feature, you can have a distinction between Ground and Wall Grid and specific customisation parameters on the same Material.
This allows you, for example, to clearly define where the player can walk without having to create many materials & meshes.
⛷️Slope Tolerance Feature ⛷️
You can also on the same material change the Slope Tolerance parameter in order to change the angle of the transition between Ground Grid and Wall Grid in order to match your Character Abilities with your Grid.
📏 Grid Size 📏
You can change the size of your ProtoGrid Material according to the overall Unity Unit Value. This way, you can easily snap your object with the Unity Grid System without having Grid troubles.
