INTRODUCTION
PrefabTools has a lot of features to make the task of level design easier. It also contains a guide in its interface to help you in the process of creation.
It is still in working progress and many other features are coming. To take a look at what is planned, let's check the end of the description section.
The ambition of this tool is to group many tools to make the process of environment creation a lot simplier.
The heart of PrefabTools is the Templates. It associates a bunch of Settings to GameObjects to precisely place prefabs or massively. It can also be used with the other tools that PrefabTools contains for now like the scatter tool.
The Settings help you in the placement of prefabs. Thanks to Projection settings, you can select where and how a prefab is projected on a surface. Offset, Rotation and Scale settings will change the transform of the prefab to add some randomness. And the Cursor settings, change the possibilities you have to paint prefabs.
Thanks to a Volume Checker option, the prefabs won't overlap with each other. It is easy to set up and save you a lot of time since PrefabTools will automatically spawn a prefab if there is enough space. This option can be disable at any time.
The ScatterTool will distribute prefabs on a surface using templates. Thanks to its Layer system, the scatter tool will place each layer after another. This is perfect to create a forest for instance by starting with big trees then small trees then bushes and vegetation and more.
