Simple and easy-to-use 3D camera controller for third-person games.
Features:
- Parametrized attributes via inspector for full control of camera behavior.
- Separated tracking position and Look At for further customization of camera placement and pointing.
- Two types of movement interpolation methods (Linear and Smooth damp)
- A collision algorithm for the pitch rotation (around x-axis) that can adapt to the surface angle, preventing the camera from going through the ground. If you prefer a fixed angle for pitch rotation, you can simply disable it.
- An effective algorithm to avoid obstacles and occlusion.
- Deadzone functionality.
- Custom gizmos.
- Examples for two different game styles, each separated into a scene.
Plug and play - Extremely easy to use
Simply attach the PG CameraController component to your camera, configure it, and you're done! No additional lines of code or scripting are required. Custom gizmos in the scene views assist with calibrating the camera to best fit your project. All inspector functionality is documented on this page (link). If you're interested in making changes or adding new functionality to the PGS CameraController, the code is well-documented and follows good software development practices.
