With this asset developers can easily configure the scene so that users can interact with their physical movements detected by the webcam, without the need to use buttons or touch the screen.
It is also especially useful for applications where it is difficult for users to interact with touch devices or buttons and also for applications aimed at users with reduced mobility.
By contrast or color change of the pixels, it detects areas of the screen that are moving (position, velocity, path and intensity), and the system moves this data to the 3D scenario in order to control the game objects and thus create any kind of interaction. Visually there is the option to paint the areas of the screen that have movement and color according to their intensity.
There are three pre-set ways to control game objects: by detecting the position of physical movement and moving the virtual gameobject to that area; detecting the direction of physical movement and causing the virtual gameobject to move in the same direction; and the third by making a gameobject appear where there is movement, so that it is these virtual gameobjects that are part of the game.
In addition to these three pre-set modes, different solutions can be created from the data generated.
The levels of motion sensitivity are adjustable, as well as the minimum and maximum values from which the interaction is activated, in order to avoid the influence of small movements or displacements of the camera. In addition, the detection areas where we want to use the interaction can also be defined.
