This package is currently included in the Neko Legends - All Access Assets.
The package will have errors unless the free Shared Assets Demo dependency is installed.
I've developed and made this shader available because the existing ones on the store does not work well with my cat model for some reason. To keep things simple, such as not having fur on the whiskers, eyes, and under the paws, I use a simple alpha mask to have full control of which parts of the model has fur.
Performance is a key consideration in the development of this shader set. Each of the three shaders includes an unlit variant, enhancing performance in scenarios where lighting isn't essential. The fur shader is already finely tuned with specialized optimization techniques. For the more complex hair shader, I've incorporated distance-based detail settings, granting you greater control over performance without compromising quality.

- Fur Shader Lit and Unlit (short fur with alpha mask to wrap around animals)
- Add realistic or stylized fur to your animals with the Fur Shader! The fur shader comes with an alpha mask texture so it keeps things simple - no need to work with tools that may or may not work due to editor versions or model complexity with your model like more expensive competitor products!
- Hair Shader Lit and Unlit (For long hair or fur on basic shapes)
- Add hair to make things hairy with the Hair Shader! Warning: the hair shader is computationally complex and only works well on simple shapes! It has detail adjustments based on distance so you can adjust for performance as necessary!
- Fiber Shader Lit and Unlit (Geometric stylized shapes, can be used for fur or grass)
- Use the fast algorithmic Fiber Shader to simulate fur or grass in an hardware accelerated performant way! Best for when you don't care about the shape of the fiber strands and more about colors!
