Distortionator - A Funky Background Shader is a versatile shader that render sprites that move in certain patterns, without disrupting the mesh.
This shader can distort the image in a variety of ways and can be used, for example, for animating 2D water animation or creating abstract imagery, which can be used, for instance, in battle backgrounds.
This versatile shader has many options, which can be useful considering how a Sprite Renderer can hold only one material at a time.
The package includes:
- The shader itself, FunkyBackground.shader
- The shader editor
- A scene with five different examples, which can be seen in the videos
- Two noise samples for use in noise-based distortion system (NEW)
- An User Guide, for some usage tips and some of the most used configurations
The package does NOT include the music in aforementioned videos. Credits for the music goes for HolFix.
Changelog:
Update 2.0 - Added vertical oscillation system
Update 3.0 - Added noise-based distortion system
