Camera Collision Script
♦ This script prevents your camera from going through walls and avoids obstacles that block view of your player.
♦ MaskedTags and MaskedLayers parameters are available to include and exclude objects based on tag and layer.
♦ Simply drag and drop the FocusPoint prefab from the Prefabs folder onto your player, and center it above your player's head for instant use. The camera may be placed anywhere, including to the sides of your character for a more convenient view.
♦ If you are using a third party camera controller, simply attach the CameraCollision script to your camera and assign any necessary parameters in the inspector. See video demonstration of use with Game Creator Camera Motor.
Additional Notes:
♦ In the demo, we used a simple capsule character setup for player movement (movement script included), as well as the MouseLook script from the Standard Assets on both the player and the focus point for turning and angling the camera and player.
♦ Note, if your player is standing ever so close, or even inside of a wall the Camera Collision script will not be able to detect anything! When using a CharacterController a radius of 0.5 is recommended.
We do our best to make our assets as user-friendly as possible! Please, by all means, to not hesitate to send us an email, or leave a review, if you have any questions or comments!
Enjoy gaming! =)
