I love 8 & 16 Bit music. Sure you too. But when you have to focus on programming and make graphics there's no room to devote time to composing music. I've done the work with great pleasure. The melodies are inspiring and memorable and just works great inside the gameplay or to mess up in a jam.
I've used the same chips of the era including arcade machines of our childhood to make the atmosphere as near as possible to the aesthetic of an era.
