The Reactorcore Art (RC Art): Water Aqua System pack offers a variety of seamlessly repeating pixel-art textures designed for creating a straightforward static liquid system in 2D side-view games.
This asset pack includes graphics for water, acid, and lava, each with multiple variants, allowing you to cover your entire level with visually appealing liquid textures.
In total there are 158 hand-drawn sprite textures for both background and foreground components for this system. For variety, you get 40x3 background options to choose from per each category for Acid, Lava and Water types. 36 different options for foreground options. Also 2 bonus template sprites included for editing purposes.
Setting up your liquid environment is easy: simply define a water surface height and use the included tiling textures for both background and foreground layers. Game objects can be positioned between these layers, while solid terrain is placed in front.
Not only is this pack user-friendly for visual backgrounds, but it also facilitates basic physics behaviors. You can mark submerged objects to be affected by buoyancy forces, friction, and depth pressure, with the ability to create bubble particle effects as objects move or idle in the liquid.
With dynamic water level adjustments and a performance-friendly design, this asset pack provides the perfect starting point for your 2D liquid mechanics. While the visuals are taken care of, you'll need to implement the code mechanics suited to your specific game.
