🌐 Network Topologies
Fusion Shared mode is the easiest way to launch a multiplayer game with accurate tick-aligned data between the clients. Using Fusion Shared means there is no need to think about hosting while keeping accurate snapshot interpolation. Shared runs directly on top of the battle-proven Photon Cloud.
Fusion Host and Server modes provide even more accuracy with Client Side Prediction and Sub-Tick Lag Compensation. Fusion can handle 255+ players in a room and stay extremely efficient on the CPU and Bandwidth, saving costs by an order of magnitude. The power of Server runs in your own infrastructure, giving you freedom of customization and enabling clients to connect directly to your dedicated servers.
âš¡Network Physics
The Unity Physics addon included with Fusion simplifies managing complex interactions of physical objects in networked environments. Client Side Prediction and Rollback of Rigidbody and Rigidbody2D provide snappy feedback to the player.
Lag Compensation in Fusion automatically uses the correct interpolated animation for hitbox position from Render, supports 2D use cases, querying against the 2D physics scene and includes support for 3D capsule hitboxes.

The new Change Detection API allows for both tick-accurate detection of changes in network properties, which is essential for gameplay mechanics, and renders accurate detection to ensure smooth display and interpolation of visual effects (VFX).

* Scene Management
Unity Scene Management in Fusion has been completely overhauled to support more cases out-of-the-box, eliminating the need for custom support for addressable scenes; simply tagging scenes with the FusionScenes label enables automatic recognition, and the new NetworkSceneInfo facilitates additive loading of up to 8 scenes simultaneously, with versioning allowing clients to reload scenes through the SceneAuthority.
* VR Input Mode
The new VR input mode drastically reduces the bandwidth for VR games and apps with lots of input data. The server now operates with a complete stream of inputs even if a few individual packets are lost.
* Encryption
Fusion now offers robust, hassle-free end-to-end encryption for gameplay traffic, automatically securing data exchange between clients and Photon Cloud in all Fusion modes.
* Streaming Large Data
A new API for reliably streaming large data has been added to Fusion. It is now possible to send files over the network.
* Offline Mode
Offline Mode facilitates development and testing, simulating networked gameplay without network communication.
