This is a 3D model of a medieval gold mining machine. This is a device that was used to extract gold from river sand or gravel using buckets attached to a wheel and chain. The wheel was rotated by a stream of water or manual labor. The buckets were lifted and emptied into a wooden chute leading to a sluice box where the gold was separated from the sand. The machine was invented in the 13th century and was widely used in Europe and Asia until the 19th century.


The 3D model was created in Blender 2.92 and exported to FBX and OBJ formats. The model consists of 4 separate objects that are grouped and correctly named. The model has a clean topology adapted for computer games and smartphones. The model has UV mapping. The model has PBR textures in PNG format with a resolution of 4096x4096 Textures include base color, metallic, roughness, normal maps and background overlay. The model is scaled to real size and has metric units (meters).
