BIOM - An excellent extension to get a Biomes ecosystem in your Unity terrain. The plugin works only as an extension of TYLER. Once installed, a new tab will appear in the Tyler main menu.
The options it offers are:
Selection of zones (Biome) through a system of adjustable points, so that you can define the zone with maximum precision.
Application of textures for each Biome independently. Replace the textures for each biome regardless of the number of existing textures.
It does not interfere with the blends or the position of their textures, simply replace the textures of the delimited areas with new textures so that you can get a great variety of Biomes.
The advantages of this Biomes system are: It can be used directly on the native Unity terrain.
Can be used with MicroSplat or CTS. The TYLER - BIOM extension is perfectly integrated to work with CTS and Microsplat, it has been tested with both plugins.
BIOM is independent, it is not linked to other plugins, and it does not maintain an intermediation function in the Biomes process. This means, after creating your biomes, you save your work in the SplatMap, and you can safely uninstall the plugin without it generating errors or other conflicts.
